Koshi Chime gongs are based on the four elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. These elements are considered the foundation of our existence. Without them, our world and humanity would not exist. You might not immediately think of it, but elements create sound. Just listen to fire or air, and what about water and rain? Earth also makes sound and produces vibrations.

The Koshi Aqua is named after the element of water and represents power and flow. It can be recognized by the blue marking on the bottom side of the Koshi Chime gong. A Koshi Chime is a very pure sounding instrument.

It can be hung as a wind chime or placed above the door. It can also be held in the hand and played that way.

The sound box of a Koshi Chime is made of bamboo veneer. The veneer is cross-glued for extra strength. The metal rods inside the chime, which determine the sounds, are attached with silver solder to a metal ring at the bottom of the chime. The rods are worked until they reach the correct pitch.

There are four different Koshi chimes named after the four elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. Each type has its own unique sound, but all Earth chimes (gongs, for example) sound exactly the same.

The wind chime is not waterproof. Therefore, hang it in a dry place.
